The Rothsay gold mine is a high-grade underground gold mine in the mid-west of Western Australia, ~300km north east of Perth and is wholly owned by Silver Lake. The Rothsay operation is a satellite ore source to the proximal Deflector mill, with mined ore road hauled to Deflector. Silver Lake commenced mining at Rothsay late 2020, with the first Rothsay ore treated at Deflector in June 2021 following the completion of the Deflector mill upgrade.

The Rothsay project is located within the Youanmi Terrane of the Yilgarn Carton on the Warriedar Greenstone Belt. Rothsay mineralisation is associated with shear-hosted quartz veins which are parallel to the bedding of the mafic and ultramafic sequence.

Mining at Rothsay is by conventional long hole stoping methods. Stope ore is blasted and bogged using remote load and haul units, with ore loaded onto trucks and hauled to surface ROM pad. The highest grade ore is preferentially road hauled to the Deflector Gold Processing Facility, with medium and low grade ROM ore to be hauled later in the operations life.
