Christmas Flat Open Pit - WA (Silver Lake 100%)
The Christmas Flat Project located 1 kilometre north of Daisy Milano commenced in June 2009 with the first ore production occcurring in July 2009 and is the company's second production source at the Mount Monger Operations.
Stage I of the open pit is predominately free dig and produces approximately 10,000 oz Au for a total cash cost (including capital) of $700 per ounce. The remaining resource of 41,000 oz Au at Christmas Flat is being evaluated to be extracted by either open pit cutback of from underground.
Stage I of the open pit will be completed in January 2010. The Mount Monger Operation is currently mill constrained therefore ore containing approximately 9,500 ounces of gold from Christmas Flat will be available for processing through the upgraded Lakewood Gold Processing Facility commencing in February 2010.
